Malaysian Youths call for Peace in IPYG Peace Walk

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – On June 4th, 2016, youths and organizations gathered as messengers of peace at Chinese Assembly Hall to march for the cause of peace from 8 in the morning.
Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) hosted “the 3rd Annual Commemoration of the Declaration of World Peace- Legislate Peace Campaign” to support the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War and to call for peace with youths and non-governmental organizations in unison.
Organizations such as Malaysian Indian Youth Council, Partners for Peace, BEO along with youths and women marched for peace to Dataran Merdeka. During marching, participants presented the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War to citizens on the street and gathered their signatures supporting it.
Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War was publicly announced on March 14th, 2016 in front of about a thousand renowned social figures around the world. Signing campaigns for the Declaration are being carried out in 152 countries including Malaysia. It contains Articles for global reduction of war potential, dispute settlement between different religions and ethnicities, freedom of religion, and spreading of a culture of peace.
HWPL is an international peace organization officially registered in the United Nations Department of Public Information (UN DPI) and has been carrying out peace activities such as Peace Forums, Women's Peace Tea Receptions in Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, Penang, and Johor Bahru.
