Daihatsu Launches The New Gran Max Panel Van with Automatic TransmissionDaihatsu
Daihatsu recently hosted some dealers and media at the PT Astra Daihatsu Motor plant in Jakarta, Indonesia. The assembly plant produces other models from Daihatsu and Toyota as well as the newly launched Gran Max.
Speaking at the visit, Mr Tetsuo Miura, President Director of PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM) said “this specific assembly plant is capable of producing 5,000 units of vehicles monthly and amongst that including the Gran Max. We also have a few other assembly plants within the Jakarta area. It is our target to be the global number 1 manufacturer within the Toyota Group. As we are the only manufacturer in Indonesia to export to Japan, this is a testament to our quality and a mark of the highest standard of quality in the world”.
“We are very excited to be hosting our dealers and fellow media for this assembly plant visit. Some of our dealers have been with us for some thirty years and this is the first time they will be visiting the assembly plant of a manufacturer they have been supporting for such a long time. I hope this opportunity would be a great chance for all of us to learn more about the assembly plant within the Daihatsu brand” concluded Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Shaharom, Managing Director of Daihatsu (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and Acting President & Chief Executive Officer of MBM Resources Bhd.
